Tow/Run Switch

The Tow/Run switch should be placed in the TOW position under the following conditions:

• Before Towing the Golf Car: Place the Tow/Run switch in the TOW position to disable all motor braking functions, thus preventing possible damage that could occur to the golf car or electrical components if the golf car is towed while the walk away braking motor braking function is operating.
• Before Disconnecting or Connecting Battery Cables: Place the Tow/Run switch in the TOW position to turn off power to the golf car electrical system, thus preventing severe arcing and possible battery explosion as the battery cables are disconnected.
• Place the Tow/Run switch in Tow position when the golf car is not in use.

Not all golf cars have a Tow/Run switch but if your car has a Run/Tow Switch it will be located under the seat where the batteries are located. It is a toggle switch (flip one direction to Run position and the other direction is Tow position.)

Tow/Run Switch location:

E-Z-GO golf cars - located to the right of the batteries on the passenger side.

Club Car golf cars - located in front of OR behind the batteries.

Yamaha golf cars - located behind the batteries at the back - tucked under the panel.
