Driving Instructions

 

  1. Only licensed drivers should be allowed to drive the golf car on public roads.
  2. If renting or loaning the golf car, make sure the driver is familiar with all controls and operating procedures before allowing the golf car to be driven.
  3. No more than two persons per bench seat should be on the golf car at one time. Do not allow passenger to ride in the bag well. - The golf car is not specially equipped for handicapped persons. Be sure all persons can properly operate the golf car prior to allowing them to drive the golf car.
  4. Be sure all passengers are secure in a golf car before allowing them to ride in one. - For night use, the golf car must be equipped with headlights and taillights.
  5. Stop the golf car before shifting the Forward/Reverse switch. Failure to do so may result in injury to an unsuspecting passenger and (or) damage to the golf car.
  6. To help avoid being struck, do not stand in front of or behind the golf car.
  7. Operate the golf car from the driver seat only.
  8. To help prevent falls from the golf car, always remain seated and hold handrails. Driver should keep both hands on the steering wheel when the golf car is in motion.
  9. To help prevent the possibility of serious injury, keep your entire body inside the golf car.
  10. Do not leave children unattended on golf car.
  11. To help prevent overturning the golf car, drive slowly straight up and down slopes. Avoid driving the golf car on slopes exceeding 20% incline.
  12. To help avoid possible injury to an inattentive passenger and (or) damage to the golf car, avoid sudden starts, sudden stops, and abrupt turns.
  13. To help avoid the possibility of losing control of or overturning the golf car, reduce speed for adverse driving conditions such as wet grass or rough terrain.
  14. Obey all local rules concerning consumer golf cars.
  15. The golf car should be driven in only specified areas by trained drivers.
  16. Do not drive while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications.
  17. To prevent overturning the golf car, drive slowly in turns. - Use brakes to reduce speed when coasting downhill.
  18. This golf car is not intended to be used where risk of falling objects exists. If your golf car will be used in such an environment, contact your local dealer.
  19. Do not drive the golf car under tree limbs, bridges, tunnels, or other objects that are less than 84 inches from the ground.
  20. No one should drive the golf car without first being instructed in the proper operation and use of the golf car's controls. An experienced operator should accompany each first-time driver on a test drive before allowing him/her to operate the golf car alone. To ensure safe operation of the golf car, follow exactly and in order, all the following procedures. Read and understand all instructions prior to driving the golf car.
  21. When exiting the golf car, always turn the key switch to the off position.
  22. Place the Tow/Run switch in TOW position when the golf car is not in use.
